SJZ Metalsin supplies adjustable steel pipe wrenches (designated with the series number MT-625-SR), the versatile solution for all your plumbing, construction, and maintenance needs. As illustrated in the drawing presented below, the pipe wrench consists of the following parts: 1 – hook jaw, 2 – heel jaw, 3 – adjustment nut, 4 – flexible housing frame, 5 – conical spring, 6 – handle. It has several design features: (1) Compared to the universal heavy-duty straight pipe wrench, a separate flexible housing frame, which is made of mild carbon steel, is furnished and pinned onto the top section of the handle. Its position can be adjusted during the assembly of the pipe wrench. (2) The heel jaw is integrally drop forged with the handle, which can be made from high carbon steel, Cr-V alloy steel, or Cr-Mo alloy steel. (3) The term “adjustable” refers to the ability of the wrench to change its jaw size to accommodate pipes or fittings of different diameters. This adjustability is typically achieved through a mechanism that allows the user to turn the adjustment nut to slide the jaws closer together or farther apart, thereby adjusting the gripping capacity of the wrench. (4) All parts of the adjustable pipe wrench are made of forged steels: either carbon steels or alloy steels.
The adjustable steel pipe wrench usually has the “straight handle” design, which means that the handle is aligned in a straight line with the jaws of the wrench. It has exactly the same construction and design as that of a Stillson pipe wrench. The adjustable steel pipe wrenches can be manufactured in accordance with a series of international standards inlcuding QB/T 2508 (Chinese standard), BS 3594-1 (British standard), GGG-W-00651d (American Military specification), and UNE 16552 (Spanish standard).
