The BS 5150 threaded gate valves supplied by SJZ Metalsin for waterworks are designated with the series number MTS-GT935. These valves are WRAS approved with non-rising stem and resilient seat design. Since they are primarily used for waterworks, they shall also be manufactured to BS 5163 and non-metallic parts of the valve in contact with potable water shall comply with BS 6920-1. The valve is furnished with threaded end connection, which refers to the method of joining the valve to the pipeline using threaded fittings. In this design, the valve body is equipped with female threads, allowing it to be screwed onto male-threaded pipe ends or fittings. This connection method provides a secure and leak-tight joint without the need for additional welding or flange connections. It is commonly used in low-pressure applications and offers ease of installation and maintenance.
BS 5150 NRS threaded gate valves with resilient seat are suitable for a wide range of applications in water supply systems, plumbing, and other fluid handling systems where compliance with potable water regulations is required. Some specific applications include: (1) Domestic water supply: These gate valves can be used in residential and commercial buildings to control the flow of potable water within the plumbing system, including both hot and cold water lines. (2) Municipal water distribution: They are suitable for use in municipal water distribution networks to regulate the flow of water in pipes, mains, and distribution lines. (3) Industrial applications: They can be used in various industrial processes, including manufacturing, chemical processing, and wastewater treatment, where reliable and compliant fluid control is essential. (4) HVAC systems: They can be installed in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems to control the flow of water or other fluids within the system. (5) Agricultural applications: These gate valves can also be used in agricultural irrigation systems and livestock watering systems to control the flow of water for crop irrigation and animal hydration.
