A resilient-seated ductile iron gate valve made to EN 1171, EN 1074-compliant, flanged drilling according to EN 1092-2 24″ PN16, bevel gear operated, with bypass device, supplied to Indonesia.
Both the body and bonnet are typically made from spheroidal graphite cast iron (ductile iron) EN 1563 EN-GJS-450-10. The nominal sizes of these EN 1171 gate valves range from DN 40 to DN 1000. PN 10 and PN 16 are the most widely utilized pressure designations for waterworks applications. The flanged ends, drilled in accordance with EN 1092-2, are integrally cast on both sides of the valve body. Under EN 1092-2, flanged ends with a raised face (RF) feature a slightly elevated sealing surface around the bore. This raised profile—typically 3-5 mm in height—ensures tighter gasket compression when bolted to mating flanges, enhancing leak-proof performance in pressurized water and wastewater systems. The standardized RF design in EN 1092-2 guarantees uniform contact pressure across the sealing area, making it ideal for resilient-seated gate valves where reliable long-term sealing is critical.
