The heavy duty end pipe wrench supplied by SJZ Metalsin features a handle that is angled or offset from the sliding direction of the hook jaw or the jaw opening of the wrench. The offset angle of the handle varies depending on the model, but it’s typically around 30 to 45 degrees. That’s why the end pipe wrench is also called “angled pipe wrench“. This offset design allows the user to have a better grip and leverage, especially in tight or confined spaces where a straight handle might be obstructed (see Figure-2). End (angled) pipe wrenches are particularly useful in situations where pipes are close to walls or other obstacles, as the angled handle provides clearance and facilitates easier turning.
As illustrated in Figure-1, the end (angled) pipe wrench consists of 1 – hook jaw, 2 – heel jaw, 3 – flat spring, 4 – cylindrical spring, 5 – adjustment nut, 6 – handle. The handle of the pipe wrench is made of ductile iron or malleable iron. The housing frame is cast integrally with the handle and is located at the top of the handle. Both the hook jaw and the heel jaw are made from forged Cr-Mo alloy steel, exhibiting excellent wear resistance, high strength and hardness. The heel jaw is pinned onto the housing handle firmly. Usually the adjustment nut is made of high carbon steel.
