The offset pipe wrench is the “extreme” version of an end/ angled pipe wrench: the jaw opening is parallel to the handle. Compared to the 30°~45° angle formed between the handle and the moving direction of the hook jaw in an end pipe wrench, the handle is perpendicular to the moving direction of the hook jaw. Thus, it is also known as “90° angled pipe wrench”. This offset design allows the user to apply torque in tight or confined spaces where a straight handle might not fit or provide sufficient leverage. Offset pipe wrenches are particularly useful in situations where pipes are close to walls or other obstacles.
